Can I become a registered member of Autonsm?
Anyone seeking Korean vehicles can become a registered member of Autonsm.
Is there any registration or membership fee?
No, there is no registration or membership fee. Sign up today and explore our wide range of Korean used cars.
What are your office timings?
Our office timings are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (Korea standard time). We will provide notifications in the event of office closures on holidays.
What language do you do business in?
Our prime business language is English. However, we also do business in Korean.
When can I use the Auction Service?
You can use the auction service any day.
Why should I purchase a Korean Car?
Investing in Korean vehicles is a smart decision due to their superior quality. Korean vehicles are built with high standards, making them highly dependable and less prone to costly repairs or breakdowns.
How can I find out the rules and regulations for importing a vehicle in my country?
To know about rules, regulations, and procedures for importing a car in your country, please visit the particular country page on our website and check the information. Lastly, it is suggested that you do your own research prior to importing a vehicle to understand all the responsibilities, legal charges, and risks.

Payment

Can I cancel my order?
Yes! As long as the order is not sent for shipment, you can cancel it. However, if your vehicle has been sent for shipment, you cannot cancel it.
From where can I get the T/T copy?
After submitting payment for transfer at your bank, you will receive a TT copy, also known as a Telegraphic Transfer Copy. It is the proof of your payment. The deposit slip can replace the TT copy only if the TT copy isn't issued from your bank immediately.
If my payment is late, will Autonsm charge any penalties?
No, you do not have to pay any penalty in the event of late payment. However, keep in mind that you must provide proof of payment within five days of placing an order to confirm your order and reassure us that you want to purchase the vehicle.
How much do I have to pay when purchasing a vehicle?
You will have to give the whole payment before the shipment of the vehicle.
Can I get a discount on purchasing any vehicle?
If you want to negotiate the price of any vehicle, contact our customer support team at info@autonsm.com.
What currencies does Autonsm accept payment in?
Primarily, we accept payment in US Dollars and Korean WON.

Shipment

How long will it take me to receive my car?
Delivery of the vehicle depends upon the shipping schedule. However, it usually takes from 4 to 8 weeks for the vehicle to be delivered to you.
How can I track the shipment of my product?
You can check the shipping route of your vehicle through our car tracking service. However, you are advised to contact the shipping company directly for the most precise update.
How do I know if my vehicle has passed its inspection?
You will be provided with the PDF of your vehicle’s inspection certificate once the inspection agency is done with the inspection. You can find the certificate on the car tracking service page.
Does Autonsm offer door-step delivery service?
Autonsm provides doorstep delivery service to our customers around the globe so they can enjoy a hassle-free purchase experience.
Can my shipping schedule change?
Your shipping schedule can change by a few days because of unavoidable conditions such as weather or the routing of ships.
What information do I need to provide at the start of the shipment process of my purchased item?
You need to provide details such as your name, address, and phone number along with the final port and the invoice number. Make sure that all the information provided is correct, as incorrect information can lead to delays in the shipment of your vehicle.

Vehicle Condition

How can I know the condition of the vehicle?
To ensure our customers’ satisfaction, we provide detailed pictures of the vehicle to help you with your buying decision.
Can I find a vehicle not listed on your website?
Yes, if you do not find the vehicle you are looking for on our website, feel free to reach out to us. Our staff will help you find the vehicle that best suits your needs.
Can you change the vehicle’s odometer reading on request?
No, changing the odometer reading of the vehicle is illegal. Autonsm does not participate in any illegal actions under any circumstances.
Does the vehicle I purchase from Autonsm come with an English manual?
No, as we sell vehicles previously owned and used in Korea, the manual provided will be in Korean.
Will I get spare keys to the vehicle?
It depends. If you cannot find spare keys in the vehicle’s glove compartment, it means they are unavailable. You can make a copy of the original car keys when you receive the vehicle.
Can you also send me auto parts for the vehicle I am purchasing?
No, we are not allowed to put anything inside the vehicle unless the container ships it.

Account

Can I create an account on Autonsm for free?
Yes, creating an account on Autonsm is absolutely free. There are no initial or monthly charges to create an account.
How can I create an account on Autonsm?
Click to Log In / Sign Up on the top right of the Autonsm home page and choose Sign Up.
Fill out the Sign-Up form by adding your full name, address, password, and other information.
Click on “Create Account” and verify your email to successfully create an account with Autonsm.
Is my information protected with Autonsm?
We use SSL to secure all the information we receive to maintain a highly ethical privacy policy. You can check out our detailed privacy policy and learn more about our protection protocol.
Is using real names and information safe to create an account?
Yes, it is completely safe. It is also important to add original information to create your account in Autonsm. When we issue an invoice, our system automatically adds all the information from your profile as Consignee and Notify Party information. Not adding the right information can result in difficulties during export procedures.

Documentation

Which documents will I receive from Autonsm regarding my shipment?
As an importer, you will receive the following documents: Bill of Lading, Insurance Document, Export Certificate, and Commercial Invoice. If the government demands, we will also provide you with an inspection certificate and export permit.
Can you change the vehicle information in the B/L or any other document if asked?
Altering information on the B/L or any other document is illegal, and Autonsm does not participate in any illegal action, regardless of the circumstances.
What is a Consignee?
The consignee is the vehicle’s “owner-to-be.” It is important to provide the consignee’s full name, which should match the name on the passport or ID. We also require their full address (without abbreviations) and phone number. There should be no spelling mistakes in the consignee’s full name. Even a small error can be subject to B/L amendment, which may cost you additional time and fees.
Why is it important for the consignee to provide full name and address?
The B/L is an official document that proves the ownership of the cargo. Therefore, the full name and address of the consignee, similar to the one written on their ID and passport, should be used.
What is the DHL delivery address?
This is the address where we mail you documents, including B/L, through DHL courier.
Who is the Notifying party?
The notifying party is the individual contacted by the shipping agency to tell the vessel's confirmed arrival date. If you have a private clearing agency, you can mention them. However, it is not mandatory since they are not required to be declared on the B/L.

Glossary

What is BL?
The BL, or Bill of Lading, is a document handed by the carrier or agent to the shipper as a contract for the carriage of goods. It further specifies that cargo is accepted for transportation, and it must be presented for delivery at the destination.
What is C&F?
Cost and freight is a term of sale that signifies that the price quoted or invoiced by the seller for shipment does not include insurance charges but does include all expenses up to a named port of discharge.
What is CIF?
Cost, insurance, and freight is a term that signifies that the price invoiced by the seller for the shipment includes the insurance and other changes up to the named port of discharge.
What is a Clearing Agent?
A clearing agent is a person or company that handles custom clearing procedures for you at the port.
What is an Invoice?
It is a payment request by Autonsm to you for purchasing a product. As long as you meet the payment deadline, the invoice issued to you will mean that you have the “Exclusive Right” to purchase the product. However, it is crucial for us to confirm your payment within the deadline.
What is a T/T copy?
When you pay at the bank for a vehicle with an invoice issued by us, the bank will provide you a receipt of the payment called a T/T copy. It is also called a Telegraphic Transfer Copy, which you must provide within 48 hours of the invoice being issued.
What is ETA?
Estimated Time of Arrival: the time and date in which the shipment journey is expected to arrive at the given port.
What is ETD?
Estimated Time of Departure: the time and date in which the shipment journey is expected to depart from a given port.
What is LOA?
A letter of authority is a document required by certain governments for importing a vehicle. The South African government requires this document for importing vehicles issued by the NRCS, as well as an import permit issued by the ITAC.
What is a Shipping Agent?
This is the agency that is accountable for handling shipments and cargo at harbors and ports on behalf of shipping companies.
What is the Port of Departure?
This is the departing point of a shipment.
What is the Port of Discharge?
This is the point where the vessel is off-loaded and the shipments are dispersed to their respective consignees.
What is an Inspection Certificate?
This is a certificate that provides proof of insurance for CIP shipment.
